Heatwave doesn't hamper Sports Days

Ashmount had two successful sports days, with a record number of parents and grandparents coming to support our students.

The weather was extremely hot for both the primary and secondary events, but this didn’t hamper the students’ performance or enjoyment.

The sports days were based around competitive and non-competitive style activities including Wet and Wild, Crazy Quoits, Skittles and penalty shoot-out. These were followed by flat races, which involved all students, including the wheelchair users.

Brothers and sisters also joined in the fun! The children wore team colours, created a team chant and made banners to support their friends.

It was a fantastic team effort and all the staff worked extremely hard to ensure a fun celebration of physical activity.
