  • Cakes for Pudsey

    Thank you to everyone who took part in our week-long baking event in aid of Children in Need. Ashmount students raised over £400 for the charity by baking their own cakes and cookies and selling them in the school foyer at the start of each school day and at break times.

     

  • Ashmount Teacher Shortlisted for Local Award

    Congratulation to our PE and Sports Coordinator Claire Malpas who has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 'Outstanding Contribution to School Sports' award in the Charnwood Sports Awards 2016. The winner of the award will be announced at an awards event to be held in December.

     

    The news comes after Ashmount School was awarded the Gold School Games Mark in June 2016 for their commitment to the development of competition across our school and into the community; 

  • Stay and Play

  • Scarecrow Festival

    Many thanks to all of the students, and staff, parents and carers who were able to attend our fourth annual Scarecrow Festival held on 6th November 2016.

     

    The winner of the competition, as chosen by both our independent judge and the exhibit that received the most votes on the day, was a sensory trail based on the Michael Rosen classic storybook 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt', put together by our Key Stage 1 classes.

     

     

  • Scarecrow Festival

    As part of our celebrations for Harvest Festival, we will be holding our fourth annual Scarecrow Festival from 1.00pm until 3.00pm on Sunday 6th November 2016. 

     

    Each class has made their own scarecrow from recycled materials which will be displayed around the hall and foyer. 

     

    As in previous years, entries from other schools and groups are welcome, and there will be prizes for the best scarecrows. 

     

    Tea and coffee will available, and any donations on the day will be presented to the Loughborough PACE 'Operation Agape' project which provides emergency food parcels to families and individuals in our local community.

  • Loughborough Santa Fun Run 2016

    This year's 'Loughborough Santa Fun Run and Walk', organised by the Rotary Club of Loughborough, is being held on Sunday 4th December at 11am at Loughborough Market Place. Families interested in running, walking or strolling the 5km course through Loughborough town centre to raise money for Ashmount School and other local charities can sign up for the Ashmount Team by speaking to our office staff. The entry fee is £13 for adults and £6.50 for under 16s. All competitors will receive a santa suit and medal.
