At Ashmount School we are passionate about supporting students through the process of deciding upon the direction they take after finishing school. We provide impartial guidance and advice on further and higher education, training or employment across pathways and involve many outside agencies such as employers and education providers.
Information about our Careers Programme, including a summary of the careers opportunities we offer, and how we measure and assess the impact of it on our pupils can be found in our Careers Policy. Pupils, parents, teachers and employers can access further information about our careers programme by contacting our Careers Leader.
Our Careers Leader is Sandra O'Connell. If you have any queries about careers, further and higher education or work experience please contact her on 01509 268506 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Our Careers Link Governor is Lisa Pittwood.
Details of the content of our school curriculum in each academic year for every subject can be found below.
Phonics is taught across the school using a variety of approaches to meet the needs of all pupils. We follow the Twinkl Phonics scheme for lessons and reading books, with supporting resources drawn from Jolly Phonics (songs) and Read Write Inc (letter formation) to enhance sensory learning.
Parents can find out more about the curriculum our school is following by contacting your child's class teacher or a member of our Senior Leadership Team.
