Latest news at Ashmount School......
Ashmount School has once again been named as one of three finalists in the Charnwood Sports Awards.
The school received one of the runners-up awards in the Let's Get Moving category at this year's ceremony.
The award recognises schools that have achieved and can demonstrate increasing participation in sport and physical activity, creating opportunities for all across the school to be active.
Thank you to all those who were able to support our Key Stage 5 students with their annual fundraising for the BBC Children in Need Appeal.
It was great to see so many of our children, young people and adults across school in fancy dress for the day.
Your generosity in donating money, cakes for our stall, loose change for Pudsey and donations via the new ParentPay link all added up to a huge £460.55.
As part of their Careers and work-related learning curriculum, Key Stage 5 (Sixth Form) students have been taking part in a Christmas Enterprise module. They have researched products, resourced materials and made a selection of items to sell with the purpose of learning new skills and making a profit. Students then decided as a class group, how they would like to use the money raised - buying items to benefit themselves and their peers in school. A big thank you to all who have bought items to ensure their enterprises were a great success!
